What is the Annual Schaeffer Gala?

  • The Gala is our annual event to raise funds for Schaeffer Academy and promote community within the school.  We gather for an evening of silent and live auctions, dinner and musical entertainment.

When is it?

  • The Gala is usually held in March.  This year's Gala will be MARCH 11, 2017.

What happens at the Gala?

  • A very good time!  People mingle over hors d'oeuvres during the silent auction and bid on a variety of acution items. 
  • An excellent dinner
  • Performances by student musicians
  • Bidding to fund grants for Tuition Assistance and other needs of the school

How can I be involved with the Gala?

  • Join our volunteer team - there are many different roles to fill to make the evening a success
  • Donate items for the auction - these can be goods like an iPad or wine basket or services like "Pie of the Month"
  • Corporate donations can include services or underwriting
  • All donations of items and services are fully tax deductible
  • Attend the auction and invite friends and family to join you

What's the outcome?

  • Since it began in 2010, the Gala has netted over $800,000 for Schaeffer Academy - over $150,000 in 2016 alone.  It's the major fundraiser for our school.
  • The Gala brings together a stellar team of volunteers. It's a great way to get involved in school life.
