Senior Class Trip

What is the Senior Class Trip?

  • The graduating class takes a 5-7 day trip after commencement to somewhere in the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
  • The trip includes educational as well as entertainment value.
  • School-approved chaperones accompany them.

How is it funded?

  • Seniors raise money throughout the senior year by selling pizza one day a week and by hiring out their skills as babysitters, cleaners, yardworkers and so on to school families.
  • The fundraising effort goes on all year.

Why do we do it?

  • To give a focus and purpose to the senior year as they work towards a common goal.

What is the Senior Class Gift?

  • Part of the funds raised are given back to the school as a class gift (usually $800 - $1200 of the total raised).
  • In 2013 & 2014 part of the class gift was used to fund a Schaeffer scholarship, The Larry Goedhart Memorial Scholarship, in honor of a school parent.
