Athletic Requirements

Sports participation at Schaeffer Academy is governed by both school rules and MN State High School League (MSHSL) requirements. To participate in each season's sport you must:

  • pay a participation fee (see individual sport pages for more information)

  • have completed the SA/MSHSL Athletic Participation Form for the current yearhave no outstanding uniform or equipment returns from previous seasons

  • have a current sports physical on file with the school nurse's office (MSHSL Physcial Examination Form--good for 3 years)

  • be in good academic standing

  • have completed all these requirements before the first scheduled practice in order to participate. Upon completion, the student will receive an athletic participation card which must be given to the coach prior to starting practice.

MSHSL Physical Exam Clearance Form - The Minnesota State High School League requires a Physical Exam Form every 3 years. The results of a current physical must be on file at the Schaeffer Nursing Office before you can get your participation card. Please note this form is different than the SA/MSHSL Athletic Participation Form which is required every year
