Statement of Purpose

The primary purpose of Schaeffer Academy is to provide our students with a Christ-centered and classical education which emphasizes academic excellence in the liberal arts.

The philosophy and content of education at Schaeffer Academy is founded upon the principle that it is necessary to remain faithful and obedient to the truth of God as revealed in the Scriptures. Schaeffer Academy attempts to operate as an extension of the family, recognizing the God-given responsibility and authority of parents to educate their children. We are:

Christ-centered

• We teach all subjects as part of an integrated whole with the Scriptures at the center.

• We seek to provide a clear model of biblical Christian life through our staff and Board of Directors.

• We encourage every child to begin and develop his relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ.

Classical

• We emphasize grammar, logic and rhetoric in all subjects.

• We encourage every student to develop a love for learning and to live up to his or her academic potential.

• We provide an orderly atmosphere to facilitate the accomplishment of these goals.
