Help us reach our goal by Thursday
June 27, 2022
Dear Schaeffer Academy Families and Supporters,
To reach our donor support goal for this fiscal year, we need to raise $72,438 by Thursday, June 30.
Our mission is:
To provide Christ-Centered and Classical Education
which emphasizes Academic Excellence in the Liberal Arts
In a time of conflict and confusion, we are:
Teaching the Permanent Things: Truth, Beauty, and Goodness
If you believe in our mission and what we are trying to do:
Will you help?
Schaeffer Academy was founded in 1993 and graduated its first five seniors in 2001. On May 27, 2022, we graduated our 22nd class, and our total number of graduates reached 367. The prayers and gifts of those who support our mission will help us continue to graduate students who have been educated classically in the bright light of a biblical Christian worldview. This kind of education is needed today more than ever.
Other private schools in our area receive significant financial support from a church or a group of churches, but we do not. Schaeffer Academy is an independent school. To fund our efforts, we depend on tuition and donations from individuals who support our mission. Support from individual donors enables us to develop our programs and campus. It also enables us to maintain a competitive tuition rate and to provide additional tuition assistance for qualifying families.
Without financial support from individuals, we would have to charge much more or offer much less. We don't want to do either. So, we set a goal of raising $268,000 from supporters during this fiscal year (July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022). That goal was based on our average donor support over the previous five years.
Generous supporters have already given or pledged $195,562 through:
November's Give To The Max Day
December's end of calendar year appeal
April's Grandparent Day and Spring Concert
May's fellowship and fundraising dinner at Four Daughters Vineyard
And other generous giving
We need just $72,438 more by Thursday to reach our goal.
You might think that you can't help because you can't give much, but every little bit really does help. We would reach our goal if someone from every email address that received this message were to donate $75.
We understand that for some even $75 is out of reach. That's ok. Give what you can. Others can give far more than $75. That's ok too. Give what you can.
We are only asking for financial support from those who truly value our mission and are able to give wisely and cheerfully. As the Apostle Paul tells us in II Corinthians 9:7-8:
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
If you do believe in what we are doing at Schaeffer Academy, and want to support our efforts, please give as much as you can cheerfully give by Thursday, June 30, and help us reach our goal.
You can make new donations and fulfill previous pledges by:
Dropping them off in the school office
Mailing them to 2700 Schaeffer Lane NE, Rochester, MN 55906 (postmarked by June 30, 2022)
Using the donate page on our website: schaefferacademy.org/donate
Thank you for being a part of Schaeffer Academy and for helping us continue to offer Classical Christian Education to students in southeast Minnesota. This education will prepare them to be used by Christ to change the world for good.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Keith E. Phillips, Headmaster
